A firm does not win a safety award 10 years in a row without embracing a focus on employee health. That philosophy has earned Brad Cole Construction the Southern Co.’s Triangle Safety Award, which is awarded to contractors with at least 100,000 person hours and zero safety incidents.
The heavy civil construction and site work company maintains this focus as it works during the COVID-19 pandemic. Atlanta-based technology firm CrewMinders recently announced its partnership with Brad Cole Construction to enable COVID-19 health checks for the company, which operates across the Southeastern United States.
One of the goals for Brad Cole Construction was to deploy its health and safety messaging platform to ensure workers would pass COVID-19 health screenings. So far, the partnership has paid off.
“We immediately noticed a 45% drop in the time it took our team to get from screening to production,” Director of Corporate Operations Matt Albertus explained. “It also showed our employees that we took their health and safety seriously and are proactively working to implement the best solution to continue enhancing our world-class health and safety culture.”
Albertus adds that CrewMinders will help the company’s staff deploy job site assessments, toolbox talks and mass safety messaging to its employees. “We are excited about the partnership and the future opportunities to change the way our health and safety messages reach our field crews,” he added.
