Pulte Homes

Pulte Homes dominates the market with developments and homes that reflect the needs of today’s homebuyers.

Pulte Homes is one of the largest builders in the United States, and it achieved that pinnacle by knowing what homebuyers want, and delivering. Combining that with quality service and strong designs, homebuyers continue to seek out the company’s homes and developments. Pulte Homes has more than 65 years of experience in homebuilding, and enjoys putting its experience to work for its clients.

“We follow strict quality control measures to ensure accuracy and attention to detail,” the company says. “Our signature Build Quality Experience includes communication with [clients] every step of the way. Our Pulte Construction Standards meet or exceed those of the industry. All backed by a warranty clients can rely on.” To ensure a high level of quality in its homes, Pulte relies on its Build Quality Experience.

Working to ensure customer satisfaction, the company starts by pairing buyers with a field manager, who remains the buyers’ partner throughout the homebuilding process. The field manager is there to review every step of the process with homebuyers and answer any questions before construction begins. Construction gets underway during Pulte’s orientation phase.

The field manager checks in daily with the construction team and keeps clients up to date on progress. Clients have a chance to walk through home and see the work in progress before the drywall goes up. Construction only is complete after rigorous inspections and evaluations.

“When we build your new home, we follow a process that meets high standards of quality and attention to detail,” Pulte says. “Our process is firmly rooted in quality control measures and consistently refined with feedback from customers like you. We keep you involved along the way so you can see the high level of craftsmanship and our construction standards at every step. You’ll get to know your new home before you even move in – and once you do, you and your family can enjoy all your personalized features, and thrive in the new place you call home.”

New Communities

Pulte Homes is part of PulteGroup, which is headquartered in Atlanta and founded in Detroit in 1950 by Bill Pulte. The company went public in 1969, and since then, has acquired DiVosta Homes, Del Webb, Centex Homes and John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods. Pulte Homes has delivered more than 700,000 homes throughout its history.

The company operates in approximately 50 major metro markets, and takes pride in serving a diverse customer base with its different brands. One of Pulte Homes’ newest communities is Hamilton Springs in east Louisville, Ky., where it debuted new floorplans and exclusive elevations. The company opened the community in late August.

“We identified this desirable location as a great opportunity for us to bring brand new construction to the area, which is limited in new ranch homes,” says Scott Mairn, president of PulteGroup’s Louisville division. “Hamilton Springs will particularly appeal to the underserved empty nesters in the area.”

Hamilton Springs is a private community with 58 single-family, ranch-style homes, featuring four floorplans that are new to the Louisville market, as well as exclusive exterior elevations. The homes range in size from 1,683 to 1,953 square feet, with two to six bedrooms and two to four bathrooms. Pricing starts at $294,990, and the designs include Pulte’s Life Tested features and Smart Home technology, as well as loft and basement options, flex spaces and open layouts for entertaining.

“Residents of Hamilton Springs will enjoy a 2,000-square-foot community clubhouse as well as an abundance of nearby outdoor recreation and amenities,” the company says. “The upscale Paddock Shops, Beckley Creek Park and public and private golf courses, including Valhalla Golf Club, the Arnold Palmer and the Midland Trail, are all just a few minutes away.”

Earlier in August, Pulte Homes introduced a new townhome community in the Seattle area, called Urbane Village. The community is located in the Bothell area in the North Shore school district. “This community offers residents the perfect location for vibrant city living with convenient access to modern amenities, major freeways and transit, and downtown Bothell,” says Taylor Mize, vice president of sales for the Pacific Northwest division of Pulte Homes.

“It’s an ideal place to be for young professionals, growing families and anyone who dreams of life in the city.” Urbane Village features three consumer-inspired home designs that are new to the Pacific Northwest, ranging in size from 1,805 to 2,247 square feet, with three to four bedrooms and three-and-a-half baths.

The company has 98 units, each with a private balcony or deck, and a two-car garage. The townhomes feature oversized kitchen islands, large windows and extensive storage space, and pricing starts from the mid-600s. “We’re already seeing a great amount of interest surrounding this community,” Mize says.

Inspired Designs

Pulte Homes offers seven Life Test Home Design features, which were inspired by homeowner feedback to create the best in livability. The company’s goal is to make owners’ lives easier and more enjoyable, and these seven features are:

* Everyday Entry – Many of the company’s new home designs come with a space-maximizing Everyday Entry. Designed for active families, this feature provides homes with an organized, designated space to stow bags, books and jackets when family members arrive at home.

* Owner’s Retreat – Just off the bedroom, the Owner’s Retreat is a multifunctional room that gives homeowners with a place to get away when they need a quiet escape or space to get things done.

* Super Laundry – Pulte Homes designed this space to give homeowners a place to simplify their cleaning routines and keep clothes clutter away from high-traffic areas of their homes. The space is large enough for owners to clean, fold and iron laundry all in one spot.

* Family Room – Because more homeowners desire open floor plans with versatility and style, Pulte Homes took a “less formal, more functional” approach to the design of The Pulte Family Room. The openness of the room allows families to enjoy each other’s company while going about their day, the company says.

* Pulte Planning Center – Homeowners told Pulte they needed a space for homework, checking emails and paying bills, so the company designed the Pulte Planning Center as a unique, multifunctional space where homeowners can manage their lives and stay organized. The multi-use work station helps homeowners keep clutter at bay.

* Oversized Pantry – Pulte Homes designed more storage space for homeowners’ bulk groceries so they are free to stock up on what they need. The Oversized Pantry was designed to provide easy access to food and other household goods families use every day.

* Family Bathroom – For families with kids, bathrooms can “often be a battleground for space and privacy,” Pulte Homes says. As a result, it designed a spacious Family Bathroom with the entire family in mind. It has double sinks, a larger countertop area and an optional privacy door to the toilet and tub.

In addition to these design features, Pulte Homes is dedicated to sustainability, and demonstrates this in a number of ways in its homes. For example, in its zero net energy (ZNE) home, the company incorporated features such as roofline insulations, solar panels, low-E windows, Wi-fi-enabled thermostats, exterior wall insulation, low-flow fixtures, LED lighting, tankless hot water heaters and induction cooktops.

“As technology evolves, birthing autonomous cars and watches that can detect blood pressure and possible heart issues, homes have not been left out of the technological loop,” Pulte Homes says. “Many companies have taken the concept of home and created gadgets and devices to help make a homeowner’s life easier, but few advance the home itself, making it a more energy efficient product. Enter the Pulte prototype ZNE home in California.

“Pulte Zero Energy homes do not simply involve a network of high-powered solar panels on the roof, they change the way the home is built,” the company continues. “Every aspect of the home is considered and innovated to define the most efficient pathway to ZNE with a balance of constructability, cost and quality.”
